In our human condition, relationships can often be a challenge.  Even though we may have love and respect for someone, there can still arise difficulties in communication.  These challenges can also influence our relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Doubts, fear or anger an cut off our communication with God.  However, God continues to reach out to us, bombarding us with opportunities for grace.  When I was a Novice in the Congregation of the Resurrection, we made The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, a thirty-day retreat.  One of the great graces I received during that retreat was a greater understanding and appreciation for each person of the Holy Trinity, recognizing that my relationship with each was unique – as Creator, as Saviour, and as Counsellor.  Today we celebrate our relationship with each person of the Holy Trinity, revealed to us by God, and experienced by each of us as we reach out in prayer to each of them – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
