Oh great Creator,
who formed all humanity in your own image,
and sent us to live in community, supporting each other;
we have fallen short of your vision.
As we learn more about the Truth
of how badly we have failed to live well together,
we are appalled by some of the things our predecessors have done,
and we seek Reconciliation with you and with those we have wronged.
Teach us, Creator, how to learn from the past and create a new future,
living and working with the First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities in our midst.
Show us how to learn from each other
so that all may live healthy and peaceful lives.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, pray for us.
