Apostles of the Resurrection Promise Service

On July 22, the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, members of the Congregation of the Resurrection gathered with Apostles of the Resurrection to welcome two new Apostles to the lay association.
It was a peaceful and moving Mass, celebrating the feast of our Patroness, Mary Magdalen.  Fr. Tim Uniac, Provincial Superior, presided and preached about the women of the Bible.  He spoke about how most women in the Scriptures are not named; they peek out from between the lines, their great faith and strength often overlooked or purposely hidden.  St. Mary Magdalene is one of the few named women.  She was chosen by God to be the first in many things.  First to see the Risen Lord, first to speak with Him, first to be commissioned by Him, first to be sent to spread the Good News that Jesus was indeed Risen.  St. Mary Magdalene has been named Apostle to the Apostles, and, as Patroness of the Apostles of the Resurrection, she inspires us to continue her mission, to go and share the Good News that we have seen the Risen Lord!
We welcome our new Apostles, Jesse and John, who made their promises on Monday.  We look forward to working together for the renewal of society and the transformation of our world.
St. Mary Magdalene, please continue to pray for us and for the Congregation of the Resurrection.

We have seen the Lord!
