How Can You Best Serve God’s People?

A Resurrectionist Vocation Minute for October 20, 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time
How can you best serve God’s people?
Our world often tells us to put ourselves first, but Jesus invites us to a radically different way of life – one of humility and service.
Discerning a vocation to religious life and the priesthood is about asking how we can best serve God’s people. By following the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience, a person becomes a witness to God’s love, committing to the service of others.
How is God calling you to serve others and share His love?
"The vows are a visible sign to the people of God. They point to the possibility of living according to the counsels of Jesus. They are a prophetic witness of the primacy of God and higher values: the supernatural and the eternal as contrasted with the natural and temporal. Our faithfulness in living the vows will serve as an inspiration to all, encouraging them to live their own Christian vocation more fully."
