The tour of our potential new Resurrectionist parish continued with Fr. Marek as our guide. There is a small elementary school, but with the distances of travel, there is a residence for students to stay during the week days. Here is Fr. Marek with some of the children.
This is the small kitchen where food is cooked for the primary school students.
This is the pump in the well that produces the water. It was funded by a 1% tax in Poland.
This is the church where people gather to worship.
Cement blocks are made for future improvements in the parish.
It seems that machinery is always an interesting enticement for men!!!! This pick-up is still working even though it looks like it survived WWII.
Fr. Daniel has dreams of driving this tractor throughout the Massai world!!!!
And, of course, the motorcycle, which is the vehicle of choice in Tanzania. This motorcycle is owned by the catechist and translator of 25-years of service. He had brought his offering for Mass…two bottles of Pepsi.
Time to relax before Mass begins!
Mass is about to begin. The people have arrived. Two motorcycles went out to ferry people to Mass through the muddy paths. It was close to starting time. I was still thinking that I did not have anything in particular to do. How foolish of me!
