It is surprisingly easy to miss in these familiar verses: God did not wait to love us after we “proved ourselves,” but loved us before we did anything at all–and sent his only Son to us. “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son…God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him” (John 3:16-17). This is incredibly good news! God already loves the world right now, and desires for us to express that love to the world so that “the world might be saved through him.” How might God be calling you to express his love and share about his Son?
