Fixing Our Road: Part 2

Even though we put in a good deal of work on our road, we realized that we still needed another two dump truck loads to fill in all the holes and craters. It became a “whole house” job with everyone participating in the work after Mass on Saturday.

After clearing the material over the surface of the road, we realized that we still needed more “filler.” This is where the Blessed Sacrament Sisters—our neighbors—came to our aid. They had extra rocks and large bricks that we used.

This is where we were gathering the stones and bricks from the Sisters’ property.

Some people, like Livinus, had the unique gift of being able to carry the bricks on their heads!

Evodius can do this also. He told me that he could teach me how to do this. Later.

Everyone was happy with the results. It took us 5 hours but it was great team work!

A job well done!
