You Have Regained Your Brother or Sister

A Resurrectionist Vocation Minute for September 6, 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

“You have regained your brother or sister.”

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that we are called to help one another return to Him and encounter Him more fully. This reflects three important principles of Resurrectionist spirituality: God calls us to conversion, to community, and to work for the resurrection of society.
We are called to bring others to Christ not only by our words, but also by the witness of our lives. And while we can do this individually, our witness becomes especially powerful when we live and proclaim the Gospel together as a community. Perhaps God is calling you to make this mission your own as a brother, deacon, or priest in the Congregation of the Resurrection.
And so, if today you hear God’s voice, harden not your heart.
