Are You Letting Fear Silence Your “Yes” to Jesus?
- Fr. Pawel Szymanowski, CR
- Luke 5: 1 - 11
A Resurrectionist Vocation Minute for February 9, 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Are you letting fear silence your “Yes” to Jesus?
When Simon Peter witnesses the miraculous catch, he falls to his knees and cries, “Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!” Yet Jesus does not leave – instead, He calls Peter to follow Him.
In discernment, we often feel unworthy or fearful of what God may ask. Are you letting fear hold you back? What if, instead of fear, you responded with trust?
“As Resurrectionists we will strive to witness to this transforming power of God’s love, not only in our own personal lives, but also in community life. We will allow this love to overcome the fears and heal the wounds that keep us isolated from one another so that we can become a true community of disciples united in mind and heart.”
