Are You Ready to be Sent?

A Resurrectionist Vocation Minute for October 18, 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time,       World Mission Sunday

Are you ready to be sent?

The coin belongs to Caesar because it bears Caesar’s image, but we belong to God because we bear His image.
On World Mission Sunday, we remember that every baptized person is called to make God’s love visible in the world. A vocation is one way of answering that missionary call by giving one’s whole life to Christ and His Church. Where is God sending you to share His hope with others?

This religious profession is effected in and through the Church. The religious binds himself in a special way to undertake the mission of the Church and to spend his life in its service. Formation, therefore, is ecclesial: it seeks to make the religious conscious of his participation in the mission of the Church and to develop his talents so that he is able to carry on the apostolate and spread the kingdom of God.
