Day of Prayer for Care of Creation

Today we celebrate the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation and begin the Season of Creation, which will run until the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi on October 4th. We invite you to join in the online Opening Prayer Service at 9am EST, or watch it whenever you are able by clicking on the video below.

Please pray the prayer for this year’s Season of Creation today, and each week until Oct. 4th. Plan a walk along one of our local rivers or streams, and contemplate the beauty and power of creation. Volunteer with a local group that works to clean our natural areas, or one which advocates for creation. Contact Tiny Home Takeout to volunteer to help in their kitchen or caring for their garden, which not only cares for creation but also works for justice and peace for our neighbours who are hungry. Plan to celebrate the Season of Creation mindfully care-fully this year.
