“Join with me in suffering for the Gospel, relying on the power of God, who (…) called us with a holy calling (…) according to His own purpose and grace,” invites us St. Paul.
Every vocation carries sacrifice because love is always self-giving. Abram left his land and his security not because the road was easy, but because he trusted the One who called him.
So it is with us. The sacrifices we embrace out of love are not losses, but the very path by which God transfigures our hearts. This Lent, what are you willing to work on or surrender, “relying on the power of God,” to respond better to your holy calling “according to His own purpose and grace?”
