On October 16, members of the Canadian Province of the Congregation of the Resurrection, Apostles of the Resurrection, and guests of our Jubilarians, gathered at St. Louis Parish, Waterloo, to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Ordination of Fr. Jim Link, CR and the 40th Anniversary of Ordination of Fr. Tim Uniac, CR.
It was a wonderful evening, beginning with Mass, with Fr. Toby Collins, CR, Provincial Superior of the Canadian Province, presiding. We were blessed to have His Excellency Wayne Lobsinger, Auxiliary Bishop of Hamilton Diocese with us as well! Fr. Evandro Miranda Rosa, CR, Superior General of the Congregation of the Resurrection had hoped to join us but was unable to be there in person, and so sent his blessings for all those celebrating together.
Fr. Toby’s homily focused on the many talents both Fr. Jim and Fr. Tim bring to our Congregation, and the blessings so many have received through their many years of service. He also remembered Fr. Pat Aiello, CR who passed away earlier this year in his 70th year of ordination. Our Congregation has been graced by God with so many amazing Religious who truly embody our Charism and Mission, and we were grateful for this opportunity to celebrate our two Jubilarians this year!
Following Mass we had a wonderful time of fellowship and a delicious dinner. It was inspiring to gather with so many family and friends of our jubilarians, and to see how many lives their work has touched.
