The last initiative we took on the Mount Tanzanian trip was to visit some fishing villages on Lake Victoria, which is the 2nd largest freshwater lake in the world.

We have a Good Shepherd. Jesus will never abandon us. He will never forsake his people. But his shepherding needs to be embodied in our lives and actions today.

Last Sunday, we heard Jesus sent the twelve Apostles, two by two, on their first mission to proclaim repentance, cast out demons, and to heal. In today’s Gospel, they got back together and told Jesus about everything that had happened, and Jesus’ first concern – is that they should rest.
