Today is the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, Disciple of Jesus, First to Whom the Risen Lord Appeared, Apostle to the Apostles, and Patroness of the Apostles of the Resurrection.
16th Sunday in Ordinary Time – July 21, 2024
We have a Good Shepherd. Jesus will never abandon us. He will never forsake his people. But his shepherding needs to be embodied in our lives and actions today.
Where do you find rest?
Last Sunday, we heard Jesus sent the twelve Apostles, two by two, on their first mission to proclaim repentance, cast out demons, and to heal. In today’s Gospel, they got back together and told Jesus about everything that had happened, and Jesus’ first concern – is that they should rest.

14th Sunday in Ordinary Time – July 7, 2024
We are reminded that in sharing God‘s Word, we may face rejection from people who are closest to us. Our openness to continued growth with Risen Jesus requires our faith and trust in God’s grace, that it will guide and strengthen us when struggling with such rejection.
