This is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

A Resurrectionist Vocation Minute for December 17, 3rd Sunday of Advent
This is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
It’s easy to get caught up in thinking the “will of God” is some “thing” God wants you to do “for” God. And the truth is, yes, doing the “will of God” will involve doing “things.”
But the truth is, God’s will for us is not for God, but for us. God wants you to rejoice always, pray without ceasing (this doesn’t mean constantly saying prayers, but always being present), and to give thanks in all circumstances. The things God will ask you to do will change, but God’s will for you has always been the same.
“Our dedication through this vow [of obedience] serves as a prophetic sign of the resurrected life where the will of every person will be united to the will of God. It also challenges the individualism and abuses of freedom in our world.”
