World Day of Prayer is an international ecumenical initiative started over 100 years ago by women’s faith groups.  Each year a service is written by a different nation and prayed together on the first Friday in March all over the world.  Donations made at these services support programs for women and children in need.  This year’s service was written by the women of Cook Islands.

There are several local services you can attend including:

  • Calvin Presbyterian, 248 Westmount Rd E, Kitchener,    at 10:00 am
  • First United Church, 16 William St W, Waterloo,   at 10:30 am
  • St. James Lutheran Church, 60 Arthur Street South, Elmira,   2:00 pm
