Many seminarians have returned from their summer pastoral placements, but the university year doesn’t begin for another month. So we decided to clean and refurbish the Formation House.

A Visit to Novitiate
Fr. Jim had the joy of visiting with Fr. Andrzej Duda and the novices who live in Buhemba.

New Members of Propaedeutical Year
On September 15, we welcomed 12 young men who are “aspiring” to join the Tanzanian Mission of the Congregation of the Resurrection.

Renewal of Temporary Vows and New Novices
While the 2024-2025 novices were professing their first vows in Buhemba, seven seminarians renewed their vows in Morogoro.

Profession of First Vows
Nine young men from Tanzania completed their year-long novitiate in Buhemba and professed their first vows in the Congregation.

Celebrations
In the midst of work and prayer, it is important to find time to celebrate the people and occasions that God has placed in our lives.

Ministries of Lector and Acolyte
On May 1, 4 of our seminarians received the Ministry of Acolyte and 2 of our seminarians received the Ministry of Lector.

Meeting in Singida
This year we decided that all the men in full-time ministry would set aside five days to meet for prayer, discussion and planning. We met in the middle, in Singida.

Visit from Kevin Donelson – Part 2
Kevin said that he just wanted to spend time with me and the men in the Mission to see how we lived. God bless Kevin Donelson!

Visit to the Maasai – Part 4
As we gathered for Eucharist, I was informed that since I was the Superior of the Tanzanian Mission that I would be presiding in Swahili.
